Stopped by to try and find some 2” fauxwood blind stops. While they did not have an exact match, Tammy offered us a close match which she graciously gave us at no cost. Brendon did an excellent job of tightening our plantation shudders that had gotten loose since their 2011 install by another company. He was very knowledgeable and meticulous with the adjustments. Tammy Marchetta was exceptionally helpful.

 

My wife and I needed a battery charger for our motorized shade. In this case, the shade was installed for our largest sliding glass door. Lithium-Ion batteries do not gradually run down, but immediately halt even when the shade is part way up or part way down, and in this case, it was almost all the way up. That means the window was exposed at night so people could see inside the house. We were very anxious to correct that situation, especially since this was late afternoon.

 

I called Domenick's Blinds & Decor. Tammy understood our situation, made a search, and found us a battery charger. She was even able to give us a discounted price. We managed to charge the battery, reinstall it, and lower the shade before retiring for the night. Peace of mind.

 

That was good service, but that isn't why I'm writing this review. It was the way she went about it. Her attitude. Her work ethic. Her enthusiasm, even at the end of a long day. The obvious sincerity of wanting to help. That combination is rare.

 

A good employee does her work competently and then goes on to the next job. An exceptional employee does all of that but also tries to satisfy every customer's needs in the most complete and timely way possible.

 

I suspect that if you were to search online for the definition of exemplary, you would find Tammy Marchetta's picture. Nothing more would be needed.

We recently moved into an older townhouse that had yellowed clips on the dust-cover valance to our vertical blinds. We have encountered a number of moving expenses and Kevin assured me that he would re-cut the new valance if necessary to accommodate the existing clips, thereby saving us money on replacement of the entire vertical blinds. When we are in a better financial position to actually replace the blinds, we will certainly be back to Domenick's Blinds & Decor. "It's the people that make the difference. We aren't the end high paying customer they probably get but, they treated us like we were the most important costumer they had. The installer did a great job putting them up. He was concerned about how the horizontal blind was not up to his standard. I know how people are so quick to complain, but don't let companies know how pleased they are with their service! I was so shocked to receive the quick service when I had a problem! "The shutters were not our first purchase from Domenick's. They were not our first purchase because of how satisfied we were with both the sales process and the installation of the folding vertical blind system that we purchased from them.

 

We had just installed all new windows that tipped in for easy cleaning. When Domenick's first measured for the shutters, they discovered that with the shutter frames in place, there was insufficient room for the windows to tip in.

Here is where they made a difference...

 

Two employees, Chris and Bill who is the installer put their heads together and came up with a frame that not only allowed enough room for the windows to tip in, but also matched the custom wood trim around the windows. Half the problem solved!! The other half was the installation of the new frames and the shutters by Bill and another gentleman whose name I don't have. When they completed the job everything fit and worked perfectly and not so much as a speck of dirt left behind."
